Please refer to Quilt Show 2010 Policies section in the current QA Roster to determine if your quilt meets all the eligibility requirements to be entered into the quilt show, or click here to view Quilt Show 2010 Policies online.
Fill out a registration form for each item you are entering.
Fill out all parts of the form completely. Return entire registration form to Julie Robbins (address above) or register online by midnight on January 12, 2010. Please note that the registration deadline is one week earlier than in previous years, and late entries will not be accepted.
All quilts must have a hanging sleeve (4-1/2 inches finished). Sleeve instructions are on the website and will be available as hand-outs at the monthly meetings.
The Quilt Show Committee will print story sheets to display with your quilt using the registration information. If you have a longer story or other information you would like to have hung with your quilt during the show in addition to this story sheet please drop it off with your quilt; do not submit it with your registration. Please be sure all items for display are legible and ready to hang.
Duet and Group Quilts, please list all participants in the participants section of the form. This information does not need to be repeated in the quilt story.
Is your quilt one of a pair or other group of quilts that should be hung together? Please note this in the participants section of the registration form.
Was the quilt inspired by another quilt maker’s book, published pattern or work? Did you start this piece in a class or workshop? If so, please honor that person by name, using the Give Credit section of the form.
If your quilt is for sale, please include the price on the form. Your name, phone number, and price information will appear on the story sheet next to the quilt so interested buyers can contact you.
QA reserves the right to refuse to hang a quilt if it will cause any access restrictions or be a safety hazard, or if it has special requirements we can’t accommodate. Glass-framed objects will not be accepted.
QA is not responsible for any loss of or damage to items entered in the quilt show.
The Quilt Show Committee reserves the responsibility of ensuring that your quilt is in the appropriate category. You may choose an alternate category on the registration form if more than one category suits your quilt.
Keep in mind each member is allowed to enter 3 quilts in the voting categories, and:
Each member may have one additional entry in these categories that does not count against the 3 quilt limit: Miniature; Wearable; Accessory/3-D.
Showcase entries do count against the 3 quilt limit despite being a non-voting category.
Each member may enter one item in the Membership Challenge, which does not count against the 3 quilt limit.
Entries in the Gifts of Soft Comfort exhibit and the special, by invitation only categories (Previous Winners and Other Special Display) do not count against the 3 quilt limit.
