One of my students bought this pattern, designed
by Anne Donaghy, to find it was all templates.
She asked me to redesign it for paper foundation
piecing. I re-drafted the entire quilt to
use my regular Broken Star Pattern and paper
foundation blocks. |

Mama's Scraps

I saw a large
Dahlia quilt and wanted a smaller one for my new,
bright yellow room. It didn't quite fit the
bed so I kept adding borders. The center
(based on a traditional pattern) and the
paper-pieced borders are my own design, with
inspiration from Jinny Beyer's work. |

Shop hop 2001

My QA
Satellite group "So Sew What" did the 2001 Shop
Hop and had a fun two days collecting
house-patterns and some fabric at each shop.
Our group challenged each other to do our blocks.
My version is all hand-quilted. |
