Turning Over
a New Leaf
by Lois Nay - 1st Place |
 |
|
Using a pattern by Laura Heine, I machine-pieced
the background, appliquéd and trapuntoed the
leaves, then machine-quilted to display some of
may favorite fabrics. |

Welcome Home
by Audrey Fisher - 2nd Place |
|
 |
|
My love of
colorwash, Kincade paintings and the value of
light and dark inspired my version of the ultimate
home. I was inspired by books on watercolor
quilts and landscape quilts, among other
techniques. This was an intense quilt but
fun to do, and it's all mine. |

Whose Eyes Come Out at Night in the
Hundred Acre Woods |
|
by Beckie Hansen - 3rd Place |
 |
|
This original
design is for my grandson, Jordan, who loves
birds, owls and raccoons - and Pooh as well, hence
the 100-acre woods. We placed the animals
using butcher paper on the sliding glass door.
The animals are paper foundation; some are then
appliquéd. |
