a class by Judy Neimeyer (and is one of her
patterns) at the 2002 Quilt Barn Retreat. I
learned a lot doing this quilt. It forced me
to work beyond my quilting comfort zone.

Sabrina's Fairy Quilt

I used the
quilt pattern "Spring Rendezvous" in Laurie
Shifrin's book Batik Beauties, replacing
the center panel with the fairy appliqué from the
pattern. This quilt, my fourth, is a gift
for Sabrina, my four-year-old niece. The
fairies quilted into the border panels (and
elsewhere) were drawn by Patty Makatura, who also
painted the fairy's face in the center panel.
