Out of the Darkness

for my shop, Calico Creations. I am so happy
to finally have it finished. The pattern is

Latina Charade

Started this
quilt in a QA workshop with Karen Stone; it is her
"New York Beauty" design. This was the most
fun I have ever had making a quilt. I used
every fabric in my stash as well as some I got
from friends. Each block was an adventure
and each block is different. Then I
hand-carried the top to machine quilter Dawn Kelly
in Sagle, Idaho and we chose the shiny gold thread
for the quilting. |

Log Cabin Plus

I've always
loved log cabin designs. This design from
Log Cabin Fever by Evelyn Sloppy captured my
imagination immediately. I had to make this
pattern. It grew to be very large but it was
fun to do. Quilted by Elaine Colvin. |
