Shadow Mountain by Roxanne Carter - 1st Place

I saw this pattern, an original design by Melinda Malones in the book Reflections, in a quilt shop in Juneau Alaska.  The shop owner said the pattern was out of print, so I took a picture of the blocks and made my own pattern.  It is fun to make a quilt with only two fabrics.  Quilted by Linda Tellesbo.

Seamus' Zoo by Barbara Neeley - 2nd Place
Made for my grandson Seamus Smith O'Leary who was involved and enthusiastic from start to finish.  Adapted from a pattern by Betty alderman.  Quilted by Karin Rainier.

57 x 74

Sherbet Fizz by Diane Coombs - 3rd Place Tie
This fun quilt pattern is called "Sheriff's Star" from Sara Nephew's forthcoming book Serendipity Quilts.  Great pattern!  Look for my name in the quilting by Judy Irish.

59 x 76

East/West Blend by David & Barbara Rincon - 3rd Place Tie
Barbara took Marsha McCloskey's Blended Quilts class, then designed this pattern and added an Asian influence to blend East and West.  David found quilting this quilt a challenge because of the blended aspect.  It was an interesting quilt for both David and Barbara.

61 x 76.5
