Shadow Mountain
by Roxanne Carter - 1st Place |
 |
| I saw this
pattern, an original design by Melinda Malones in
the book Reflections, in a quilt shop in
Juneau Alaska. The shop owner said the
pattern was out of print, so I took a picture of
the blocks and made my own pattern. It is
fun to make a quilt with only two fabrics.
Quilted by Linda Tellesbo. |

This fun quilt
pattern is called "Sheriff's Star" from Sara
Nephew's forthcoming book Serendipity Quilts.
Great pattern! Look for my name in the

East/West Blend

David & Barbara Rincon - 3rd Place Tie |

Barbara took
Marsha McCloskey's Blended Quilts class, then
designed this pattern and added an Asian influence
to blend East and West. David found quilting
this quilt a challenge because of the blended
aspect. It was an interesting quilt for both
David and Barbara. |
