My Secret Pal's Garden by Susan Carlisle- 1st Place

My secret pal gave me one block a month and challenged me to make the quilt.  The pattern is 'Simple Gifts' by Mary Sorensen.  Quilted by Patsy Hanseth.

Butterflies in the Willows by Joan Dawson - 2nd Place
The center hexagon is an original Sara Nephew pattern for her upcoming book.  I added the corner appliqué and the borders.  Thank you, Sara.  Machine quilted by Judy Irish.

68 x 76.5

Rose of Cheries by Cherie Getchman - 3rd Place
Inspiration for this quilt came from a 1976 McCall's Quilting magazine.  I especially liked the secondary pattern.  It went to New Zealand with me where I bought the wool batt.  The idea of a country bride border evolved and viola . . . .a quilt made by two.  Quilted by Sherry Rogers.

80 x 80

The Anniversary Quilt by Connie McLean - HM
This 50th anniversary quilt design came from Wendy Etzel's The Collectibles Quilt.  Ribbon and lace frame the photo transfers; appliqué and cross-stitch incorporate details of nostalgic value.  A challenging, fun project!  Quilted by Carey Cox.

45 x 50
