My mom, Norma
Fruchey, created the cross-stitch elements for
her first grandchild (my first nephew).
Mom had ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease).
Happily, she did get to meet Zachary.

A round robin.
My simple 'star' was added to by (in turn) Kathy
Bean, Lynn Woll and Ruth Vincent, who added the
borders. Then Cory Volkert quilted and
bound it. We all go together to reveal all
five quilts and returned the originals to their
'start'. |

Lost Summer

The centers of
these batik blocks were an exchange of 240
block. I set mine at an angle, didn't have
enough background fabric, so I added the blue -
which made a secondary pattern and made the
quilt better anyway. Machine quilted by
Cindy Paulsgrove. |
