Joan's Butterfly Bowl

Dawson said she hoped I had her name for a
holiday exchange gift so that I would make her a
bowl. I had great fun modifying the basic
fabric bowl techniques to create this reversible
butterfly bowl. (Fortunately Joan decided
not to use it to hold dog food for her precious
new canine "butterfly".) |

Falling Leaves

| My
original design. Azalea colors, yellow
leaves in fall, migrating birds. The
serenity of Japanese gardens was my inspiration
for this piece. I used sashiko technique
and hand-dyed embroidery floss for hand
quilting. |
