Inner Glow by Elaine
Colvin - 1st Place |
 |
| In Karen
Eckmeier's workshop I discovered the total
freedom of this curved piecing technique.
I love to create quilts intuitively, going
wherever the spirit or fabric takes me.
It's a pleasure to be able to completely lose
myself in the process and still enjoy the
results. |

Funky Flowers from New York by Susan Burker - 2nd
Place |
 |
|
I have always
thought that New York Beauty squares looked like
flowers, so I decide to make a garden using many
of the blocks from Karen Stone's New York Beauty
book. It was challenging, but I like the
final result. It was enhanced by Barbara
Dau's great quilting. |

Quilt Diva on Tour by Roberta McAbee - 3rd Place |
 |
|
I bought this
pattern by Amy Bradley during the Quilt Shop Hop
2004. It was a great caricature. I
also wanted something to display my quilt pin
collection, so I added my pins and a bit more
embellishment. I had great fun adding to
the basic pattern concept. |

Tuscan Air by Lisa Jenni - HM |
 |
| Imagine
rolling hills, vineyards, cypresses everywhere.
A wicker chair comforts your body, you enjoy a
nice glass of red wine, watch the last rays of
the setting sun and take a deep breath.
Can you smell Tuscany? |
