Flowers On White by
Toni Quintana - 1st Place |
 |
| I saw this
design in a shop window and made the pattern.
When setting it on point I cut the white fabric
too many times. After the panic died, I
just mix-matched pieces back together for a very
special effect. It does pay to measure
twice, but once. Quilted by Jane Morse. |

I was looking
for a pattern that grabbed my imagination.
One look at Louisa Smith's Strips 'n Curves was
all it took. |

Stick Pins by Elizabeth Park

I've never
named a quilt before, but decided on Stick-Pins
because the log cabin blocks have sticks, which
are arranged around the stars in the pinwheel
design. Also, I kept sticking myself with
pins (and needles!) while constructing it.
This is my second quilt and my first
hand-quilted one. |

I found the
pattern in Quilts from the Quiltmaker's Gift.
I saw the wide border fabric, really liked it,
and did the rest of the fabrics on that.
The back fabric is just cool! I am 9.
Gloria Young was my teacher, and she is nice,
patient and cool! Sponsored by Gloria
