Riding Scraps by Shawn
Riedel - 1st Place |
 |
| It's not a
quilt but a 3-D dragon and fairy. I love
quilting/sewing dragons and fairies so why not
have it all? I made the dragon out of
scraps of my challenge fabrics. It's a
jointed dragon. Hand and machine pieced,
hand and machine quilted. |

Don't Spill the
Cranberry Sauce by Sim Wissler - 2nd

Especially
made as a Christmas gift for my dear friend,
Katherine Thiry, this "Double Wedding Ring"
table runner will be part of her holiday decor.
Since her family entertains quite frequently,
the comment about the cranberry sauce became the
title for this quilt. Machine pieced, machine
quilted. |

Crusade by Ruth Van
Dyke - 3rd Place |
 |
| This
quilt was done as a two-color solids challenge
in a class I was taking. I was making a
table-runner but it seems more appropriate for
in the entry-way of a medieval castle.
Until I get the castle I have no place to hang
it! Hand pieced, machine quilted. |
