this quilt in a class taught by Judy Neimeyer at
Aunt Mary's Quilt Shop in Smokey Point. The
class was a lot of fun!! Machine pieced

machine quilted. |

Grandson
Gibson loves dinosaurs - his favorite color was
red (2 years ago). I loved the Monster
quilt. Now his favorite color is blue -
his obsession is Cars. So a Cars comforter
covers his bed and the quilt hangs around on a
couch. BUT it was great fun to make.

I enjoyed all
the possibilities of this block designed by
Melody Crust. This two color version in
black and white results in a contemporary style.
Finding a wide variety or prints was a
challenge. Machine and hand pieced, hand
appliquéd, hand quilted. |

Inspiration
was from a book by Jan Krenz-Diamonds and
Beyond. I took a class at The Quilting
Place taught by Donna H. It was to make a
Monet water lily scene, I never was good at
following directions and mine became a pond
scene. Machine piece and machine quilted. |
