Garden Party by Linda
Tellesbo - 1st Place |
 |
| The piecing is based upon a pattern by Nancy
Smith and Lynda Milligan from their book Divide
& Conquer. The machine embroidery is from a
design by Kenny Kreations. I combined the two
into one quilt. This is my first time entering a
quilt with machine embroidery! |

Scrappy Cosmic
Odyssey by Nancy Schlosser- 2nd

I loved the picture of the Cosmic Odyssey quilt in
Quilters Newsletter and decided it would look
great as a bed quilt. It was a real pleasure to
work on. Great fun putting colors together and
coming up with surprising results. Used up lots
of leftovers! |

Southwest Feathered
Star by Cindy Shivley - 3rd Place tie |

I made the center and a teacher encouraged me to
make this quilt larger. The teacher found me 8
more yards of the peach... and so it grew. All
of the quilting patterns are from indian pottery
and jewelry designs. I slept under this one. |

Flowers by Nancy
Ewell - 3rd Place tie |
 |
|
I started the project in 1997 after I had
collected enough designs for a king size quilt.
It was completed in 2007. Some of the flowers
and all of the background, sashing and backing
is from Mary Hickey's collection of fabrics. |

Tulip Festival by

This is yet another wonderful pattern, Twirling
Tulips, by Roxanne Carter. It's always fun to
quilt with Roxanne and share in all her
creativity at her Girls Day Out. |
