I saw a collection of blue & white fabrics in a
mail order fabric catalog. That inspired me to
use some blue & white fabric samples I had
(instead of buying more blue & white fabric).
Machine-pieced. Hand-appliquéd. Hand-quilted.

In the 20 years I had my quilt business I
received many little 2" samples of different
fabrics . I have been making the little yo-yos
for a good many years and decided this was
enough. The backing is made from a little coat
I wore when I was about three, made from a piece
of my mother's wedding dress. Hand-pieced.
Tied or other-quilted. |
