#331 ~ Wholecloth Daisies by Linda Tellesbo - 1st Place

This wholecloth quilt is based upon a design by Sue Schmieden called "Daisies for Angie."  I still plan to make a larger version of this quilt!  Machine-quilted.

33” x 33”

#305 ~ Market's Bounty by Linda Simmons - 2nd Place tie

The pattern "Bountiful" (designed by Maggie Walker) was purchased at the Houston Market, hence the title.  The 243 pieces, embroidery, borders and quilting have brought it to life.  Because of the dark background, some of the pieces have been backed with fused fabric to prevent dark fabrics from showing through.  Enjoy!  Hand-pieced.  Hand-appliquéd.  Hand-quilted.

26” x 34”

#316 Dragonfly Trails by Kathy Lee - 2nd Place tie

I bought some dragonfly buttons at a quilt show and wanted them to be the focal point of a quilt.  There is a beaded design area surrounding each of the dragonflies and it represents their paths of flight or trails.  Hand- and machine-pieced.  Hand-appliquéd.  Hand-quilted.

28” x 28”

#317 ~ Serene Path by Julia Ellis - 3rd Place

This is the finished project for a class I took from Joyce Becker.  The landscape is a collage of landscape fabrics, machine quilted with rayon embroidery thread, and I added ribbon embroidery flowers and beading.  Machine-pieced.  Hand- and machine-quilted.

28” x 26”

#332 ~ My Favorite Things by Jan Halgrimson - HM

I think the title speaks for itself.  I have no idea why the animals are on the back except they were fun to do, and I like animals.  Hand-pieced.  Hand-appliquéd.  Hand-quilted.  Various traditional and original designs.

27” x 32”
